Vintage pen and pencil set, 1930’s. These are in “as found condition.” The writing says, ” W. A. Shaeffer Pen Co. Ft. Madison, Iowa, U.S.A. Made in U.S.A.” There is a white dot at the base and the base screws which must be how the pen is filled. The nib says Shaeffer’s 79, Lifetime Reg. U.S.A. Pat Off., Made in U.S.A. 14K.”
“1/10 K. Gold Filled Made in U.S.A.” is written on the edge of the top. It actually looks like tiger eye striping. The matching pencil has the number 600 on it. Tiny ding on the gold cap and quite tarnished. Worth restoration or use for parts. Nice to have the set.
The other pen which is black is made by Eversharp and says “Made n U.S.A.” The nib says “Eversharp Made in U.S. A. 2 Flexible.”
I know NOTHING about early pens/pencils but if you do I’m sure you’ll ask me the proper questions and for additional pictures as needed. Buyer pays for shipping.
