Great Primitive, Folk Art Log Cabin

This handmade log cabin was purchased at a Doyle estate auction in Bedford, NY, about 15 years ago. It is large AND FABULOUS.  The shabby look is just from the bark falling off the logs. The windows are glass, the chimney is all made of stones. The roof is red and made from hand-split shingles. The front door has a little overhang.  There isn’t a floor (wasn’t meant to have one).

It measures 27 1/2″ tall to the peak of the chimney, 30″ wide and 46″ long.  It’s all original and made by someone with talent.  Buyer will have to pick this up. It’s priced to sell! Worth quite a bit more to someone who loves primitives and folk art and who has the room to display it.
