Japanese Dragonware Moriaga Salt and Pepper

$15.00

Description

Dragonware basically could be called a pattern or motif that was popular on hand-painted pottery from Japan. It was made for export from the 1880s until the 1980s, although the highest quality and most collectible pieces are older. The most popular style for dragonware is moriage, which was applied as slip clay and looks like dried cake frosting. Still, other dragonware features pieces with raised enamel dragons or gold dragons.  Buyer pays for shipping.
