Description
24″ x 33″ signed Scheffer, a very early DAC Collection painting. It appears in the MBZ catalog (pre-dates DAC) and in the 1945 DAC catalog. On verso, “Made in Holland Prunus Sierkers.” (translates to Flowering Cherry Tree but titled “Fragrance of Spring” in the DAC catalog) with a copywrite date of 1940. Buyer pays for shipping.
Attributed to Anton Scheffer who was born in Holland in 1871. I cannot find anything further on Scheffer to date. Cannot guarantee more than the artist is A. Scheffer.
