The sheet measures 19″ x 24″. This is an original watercolor/gouach signed by Margot Johnson, who created Pop Art in the late 1960’s. Please note the running of color on the lion’s foot and just below. Otherwise the quality appears to be fine. Although I can find tons of “original prints,” (a print NOT an original), I have not found one single original by her on the Internet. Her work, mostly Zodiac related, was sold by Soovia Janis, Inc. and can be found all over eBay and Esty today. I am also unable to find any biographical information on Johnson but without a doubt her work was and is very popular. There are three other original paintings also on heavy/textured paper on this web site. They are very whimsical and perfect for a children’s room. Buyer pays for shipping.
