Square Dance, Pauline Jackson, Watercolor, DAC Collection

12″ x 14 1/2″ (includes a thin white border) watercolor on paper, unsigned. This is a charming folk art (naive) depiction of a square dance in a barn. It was painted to be used on a jigsaw puzzle and includes many characters and faces. It’s lots of fun to study. DAC provided artwork for puzzles and greeting cards in addition to wall decor. We have seen a similar version on a puzzle but possibly this painting was never used. The artist is guaranteed Buyer pays for shipping.

1905-1970 I believe are the dates for Pauline Jackson but have found little on her biography. This is surprising as her work would be considered quite collectible as it is so recognizable. Her puzzles are widely collected.
