This painting measures 30″ x 40″ and is signed Warik on the lower left. The very thick paint on the lower left is cracked but not missing. Shipping is at the buyer’s expense.

Warik Wheatley studied in London, Paris and Rome and has exhibited his paintings in those cities. His master was Cav. Antonius Datillo-Rubbo of Florence, Italy. Norman Hartnell, M. V. O.(couturier to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II) introduced his work to La Comtesse d’Ortez of London Vogue and the late Mons. Michele de Brunhoff, art director of Paris Vogue.

Warik designed the color cover of Dior’s biography “Speaking of Fashion”. In New York he designed for and was assistant to Oleg Cassini. His paintings are in the private collections of some of the following: Her Majesty Queen Mary, Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Serene Highnesses Prince Ranier III and Princess Grace of Monaco, Mrs. John F. Kennedy, Carol Channing (New York), The Brazilian Ambassador, Judy Garland, Marlene Dietrich (Paris)…and many more
